Arshley is one of East Africa’s most accomplished birders, recording an extraordinary 997 Ugandan bird species. Raised deep inside Queen Elizabeth National Park, his understanding of ecosystems began in childhood and has matured into a world-class guiding reputation.

Arshley's academic journey includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Operations and Forestry from the International University of East Africa, followed by a Master’s Degree specializing in biodiversity conservation. This educational foundation complements his extensive field experience across Uganda’s diverse ecosystems.

He is a certified member of the Uganda Safari Guides Association and holds leadership roles as the Chairman of Uganda Botany World and Secretary of the Uganda Bird Guides Club. His influence within the guiding community continues to help uplift industry standards for professionalism and scientific knowledge.

Among his many achievements is a 2nd-place finish in Big Birding Day 2016 and recognition as the youngest professional guide at the first African Birding Expo. His ability to decode entire ecosystems — from canopy behavior to understory plant systems — makes him a uniquely holistic field guide.
